Meet Marlene Mayman, BA, LMT
For over 12 years I’ve been helping people just like you feel and function better.
Combining my science-based training and experience, with a focus on YOU (your needs, goals and preferences), I provide you with exceptional results for your investment and trust.
Great Relaxation Massage
Soothe away the day’s stress and minor aches. Skillful relaxation massage helps you slow down, unwind, disconnect and zone out.
Bliss out with slow and broad strokes, as gentle or firm as you prefer, and get relief from nagging areas with deliberate and comfortable techniques that blend seamlessly into a continuous, flowing massage.
Most clients simply choose a Custom Therapeutic Massage, allowing me to select whatever techniques I think will work best. To explore all of the modalities available for relaxation massage:
Medical Massage Therapy
Comfortable techniques help relieve acute or chronic tension, discomfort, pain, and/or movement issues, including those related to injury, overuse, posture, surgery, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, Osgood-Schlatter’s and more.
Also helpful for some nervous system-related issues related to Parkinson’s, trauma, tumors, nerve compression or entrapment (tingling, numbness, burning, stabbing, etc.) and others.
Questions? Please call 240-487-9387 to consult about your condition and how I may be able to help.
Vocal Massage Therapy
Vocally demanding professions (singers, broadcasters, actors, lawyers, teachers, etc.), and sufferers of voice and jaw pathologies (TMJ Disorder, dysphonia, etc.) will benefit from my science-based training and experience in voice and jaw therapies.
Vocal Massage Therapy (VMT) uses a kind and thoughtful touch and is designed to be pain-free and comfortable, to help you achieve a healthy, optimally-functioning vocal instrument.
As needed, I can treat tension in all vocal structures, from hip symmetry, up through the diaphragm, ribs, upper chest and back, with detailed focus on the neck, throat, jaw and head. Put your best voice forward!

Get a head start on relief! From the moment you step into my waiting room, you’ll relax to gentle sounds, soft light and a cozy fire. Melt into an armchair and further unwind while you wait by wrapping yourself in a heated therapy pillow.
Your story, preferences and needs are key. Taking time to listen, each session is designed to provide you with the best results for your money. I typically avoid heavily scented products and use pure organic oils that absorb beautifully (or sometimes no oil at all).
A deeply relaxing massage will relieve your stress, tension and minor aches, using the right pressure. My advanced therapeutic training in science-based medical massage helps alleviate chronic tightness and discomfort, improve movement and support recovery.
It’s even better when feeling good lasts longer, so I’ll offer you a personalized treatment plan. Need more help? I can guide you in choosing free or low-cost self-care tools, practices and resources to enhance your wellness and comfort.
