Thank you for considering Frederick Massage Therapy for your on-location massage needs!

Travel Area: We provide on-location massage within the city of Frederick ONLY.

Tent glowing in a landscape.

What you need to know about on-location massage therapy:

At Home

Note: At-home massage is reserved for those who have mobility issues, such as a broken leg, foot surgery, impaired balance or other relevant medical conditions that make traveling difficult. Due to time constraints, I only provide at-home services as the first or last appointment of the day, which I hope will work for your needs.

Massage in your home offers benefits like no other location. After you receive the many health-promoting gifts of a massage, imagine continuing to relax afterwards with a cup of tea, curled up with a book or magazine, or rejuvenating further with a well-deserved, deeply relaxed nap. If you are recovering from injury, your body will continue to reap the healing rewards while avoiding the jarring discomfort of getting in a car and traveling back home.

I’ll arrive with my massage table, ask questions to determine your needs and tailor the massage to your preferences.

Rates

I charge a $45 travel fee for on-site massage within Frederick City (only).

90 minute at-home massage – $190
120 minute at-home massage – $230

NOTE: Rates apply to single massage sessions at home or office only, within the city of Frederick, MD. I offer a discount for multiple sessions in one on-site location.≥

Preparing Your Home:

To ensure a pleasant massage experience, please review the following.

  • I’ll need an unobstructed space no smaller than 9′ wide x 12′ long, preferably larger, so that I can move around. If you have more than one room available, choose the one that is quietest.
  • The room must be warm enough for you to be comfortable lying still for an hour or more. If you think it might make you uncomfortable, make sure a vent won’t be blowing on you.
  • If possible, please keep your pets out of the room. Nothing distracts you from a relaxing massage like a cat suddenly jumping on your stomach, or your dog begging for attention.
  • … that is, except your family. Be sure to talk with your loved ones — especially children — beforehand so they know not to interrupt you. If your children are boisterous while they play, you might consider having them play at a friend’s house during your massage.
  • Turn off the phone or take it out of the room and, if possible, arrange to have someone else answer it (quietly).
  • If you have a stereo and some relaxing music you’d like to play during your massage, feel free. If possible, let me know ahead of time so I don’t bother carrying my sound system.
  • If it has snowed or is freezing out, please make sure you’ve shoveled and salted the driveway and a clear path to your door. My table is heavy and off-balancing and if you haven’t adequately shoveled and salted, I may decline to come in at the last-minute (which would make us both sad).

Office / Corporate Massage

Massage is a great way to show your employees you appreciate them! I offer clothed table or chair massage for a pre-arranged fee. In a corporate setting, most people prefer to lie on a table (clothed) when receiving their massage, but I can bring either a chair, table or both. Corporate massage requires a minimum of a four hour commitment.

Rates for Office / Corporate Massage

For a day of corporate massage (roughly 9 hours including setup and breakdown time, a 30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks per therapist), the fee is $95/hour + a $45 travel fee per day, per therapist for massage in the city of Frederick.

For a single therapist, a SAMPLE estimated charge for a day of massage would be about $855. Your location and the specifics of your needs may modify this amount.

Preparing Your Office:

To ensure a pleasant massage experience, please review the following.

  • I’ll need an unobstructed space no smaller than 7′ wide x 9′ long, preferably larger, so that I can move around the chair (9′ x 12′ if you’re having me bring a table). If you have more than one room available, choose the one that is quietest.
  • The room must be warm enough for your employees to be comfortable sitting still for 15 or more minutes. Make sure a vent won’t be blowing on the chair/table.
  • If possible, please keep other employees out of the room, asking them not to interrupt. This allows the recipient to relax.
  • Turn off the phone or take it out of the room and, if possible, arrange to have someone else answer it (quietly).

Event Massage

Are you in need of chair or table massage for an event such as a health fair, festival, school or univeristy, community gathering, parade, sporting event, conference or trade show? I have experience offering massage in all of these settings. I offer massage either for a pre-arranged fee (organizer pays), or by the minute (if the event is for the public and they’re paying).

What Our Clients are Saying...

"When I leave a session with Marlene—I have the feelings of someone that just got fantastic news. I believe her touch encourages you to connect with yourself and at the same time let go of stress and let her help. I find in my sessions with her—she is attentive/knowledgeable and intuitive to the point where verbal communication is not necessary. She is truly talented.” — Gina Click
"Marlene Mayman has a unique and amazing gift of healing through the art of massage therapy. After just two sessions, she provided me with much-needed pain relief from a pinched ulnar nerve, as a result of whiplash. I had tried months of physical therapy with no success. I was so desperate to escape the numbness in my hand & arm and to my amazement she accomplished what others could not do. I feel so fortunate to have found the gift of Marlene… My husband sees her as well and we cannot sing her praises enough. Thank you, Marlene!” — Becky Stallings Schneider
"My entire upper body feels much improved. The most noticeable effect is the lack of pain in that little area near my shoulder blades. This is such a relief. I have been on the computer for long periods of time, and it has not been a problem. Also, my entire shoulder area feels more flexible and there is significantly less pain on that left side. Thank you so much for all of the hard work you put in to this.” — Alison Roeser
"I have suffered with carpel tunnel for many years. Marlene was able to improve my situation tremendously in a few visits. Marlene is not your average therapist; she is highly trained, committed to excellence and very professional in all she does. I would trust her and recommended her to anyone without reservation.” — Mac Caldwell
